·        The Sentence Method of Note-taking enables you to construct ideas and concepts into short and precise sentences quickly.

·         Maximize your time in this speaking task. To do this effectively, simply follow these time management tips:

§  Spend at least one minute preparing your responses.
§  You will be given two minutes to discuss your arguments, maximize this time to cover all the critical points about the topic.
§  After two minutes, the examiner will interrupt and ask you extra questions about the topic. You can only spend a few seconds answering these questions.

·        Keep in mind that you will not get high marks with short answers and awkward silence. Don’t stop speaking until the examiner interrupts you. Work on your pauses and watch your tone. Make sure that your intonation is not monotonous. Pay attention to your pacing as well.

·        Determine the scoring criteria. The IELTS Academic Test and IELTS General Training Test have the same assessment criteria for the speaking test. These are:
